Ive had little luna in my home for about 8 months, I brought her in from the streets and know for a fact she has had at least one kitten prior to me domesticating her. I unfortunately have not been able to get her fixed yet and saw her engaging in kitty intercourse once, tho I promptly broke it up. It seems to me like it had to have been two months ago now tho I am terrible with timelines. I suspected she was pregnang shortly after tho ber abdomen seemed to deflate a few times after and i assumed it was just gas from getting use to cat food. But now i notice her nipples are getting larger and slighlty more pink, I just now npticed her areolas are slightly flakey and she seems to be displaying the pregnant kitty "burro" shape, but she is a very well (perhaps too well) fed kitty. Idk if her nipple change is due to her coming into adulthood as she was very small 8 months ago when she first came into my home, or if she is pregnant. She hasnt gone into intense heat since her male kitty encounter but the time line seems like if she got pregnant about two months ago, she should have gone into labor or at least be extremely obvious by now. Could this just be intestinal distress? He belly seems to be bulged out slightly more to one side so im wondering if maybe it her colon? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Please note Luna is NOT camera friendly so it is quite difficult to get good pictures haha.

I would also like to note that she has had bad gas and bloating from other cat foods and I found that her current brand caused the least problems, perhaps shes develoed an allergy to it? Her bloating seems to be more in her stomach than uterus to me but i have never had an unfixed cat before. She poops nornal, a couple times a day and they are always firm and hearty, shes never had diareeha and from her litter box, she seems to always quite regular.

Her belly Is very very firm but i cant feel any movemebt. Shes never much liked her belly touched so its very hard to know whats going on. After seeing other pictures on here I see alot Of similarities but a few days ago it seemed her belly deflated quite a bit and is ballooning up again today. I feed her a quarter cup of whiskers dry food in the morning and a quarter cup at for dinner, sometimes a about half of a quarter scoop for lunch if she begs alot, (I trained her to stand Up and wave when shew wants food as seen in my last photo) today being one of thoes days. Am i over feeding her?

I havent tried wet food yet because sje had a rough time adjusting to dry food when i brought her in from the streets. Should i feed her more? Would her belly be smaller and on some days than others if she was pregnant?

I don't know.  i'm just hooked on all the kitten drama.  I know the mom's talk about how much the prego moms are eating though.  Does she seem hungry after she is done eating?

Shes always been a munchy kitty sonce she realized ill keep giving her food, sbe dosent seem to be starving, no more begging than when i first brought her on. She realized ill feed her whem she stands and waves so she does it periodically in between meals when i walk to the kitchen but she knows where I keep her food and dosent seem to be stuck to that area or her dish. If i don't feed her when she stands up in between meals she will move along and not keep begging so i dont think shes starving

She most likely mated two months ago when you caught her in the act. Those are pregnancy nipples and a pregnancy belly. You may want to set up a nest for her, and buy some kitten chow and kitten formula. If she's got milky flakes on her nipples she is getting close. Maybe another week. That's a cute trick you taught her! :)

Ahhh poor kitty, ive been reading posts that say when she gets close to birth she will nest, does this mean stealing fabrics and pulling them to specific areas or can it be as simple as laying in a bare box? We have a few different sized boxes i use as a sort of play pen that she has been hanging out in abd napping in lately. She also os napping in places other than her usual chair like the couch and various parts of the floor. I should have written down when i caught her mating as i am terrible with time lines. The chances of her mating and not getting pregnant are Probably extremely slim eh?

Another week!? Holy smokes! We are not guna be able to keep multiple cats, my boyfrieis is alergic and can barely tolerate her, and i am unemployed at the moment hence her being unfixed. Supose ill start calling humane societies and talking to people there. Anyone here from the flint area lookong for a bigger family? Heh :\ the feral cat problem here is so terrible i cant stand the thought of more homeless kitties. I figured at least if i brought her into my home i could make one more comfortable and experiance love for the first time.

I believe she mated successfully. I'd recommend putting some old towels and blankets in those boxes, and put them where she will have some privacy - like a closet or a corner. If she seems hungry I'd let her nibble since she needs extra nutrition now.

I'm guessing based on your two months estimate and the fact she has milk in her nipples. You'll need to keep the kittens for at least 8 weeks. If you can't find good homes for them yourself, please find a no-kill shelter. My Humane Society performs very low-cost spays and neuters. You'll want to call and inquire so you know the cost for spaying Luna eventually.

Is the flaking around her areolas from milk? I havent seen amy discarge so i wasn't sure. And of course i would only communicate with a no kill shelter. Of genesee county cant help me because this is a very overpopulated area, i will try livingston county as they have much more room for kittens and much more funding. I volunteered there when i lived there and a very distraught young woman came in crying with a new liter and the staffed didnt turn her away dispite there large population of new kittens. I feel terrible for not getting her spayed sooner, i had an appointment set for her but i encountered and very expensive very critical unexpected health crisis of my own and had to use the money i saved for luna. I will not let these little kittens suffer tho the way the thiusands of homeless cats here in flint do. Im going to research and call all the no kill shelters in my part of Michigan

The flakes are dried milk. You may or may not see any milk leaking, but the flakes are from tiny drops that came out. She may have less than a week to go.

I appreciate your attitude about caring for these kittens. The homeless cat population is a problem everywhere, and it is sad when kittens are just dumped. I'm glad to hear you have strong feelings about doing the right thing! :)

I put the largest box i have under the dinning room table and luna was just scratching inside of it. This is normally our designated play box and i hide toys under the flaps for her to scratch at and play with. I put some cloths over the edge to see if she pulls them in and she hasent, she scratched at it for a few minutes and then went and laid in her chair, could this be signs of pre labor?

I don't think so yet. Sounds like she's just checking things out for now. She will exhibit signs of being restless and uncomfortable when pre-labor starts, and likely will lick her privates and nipples a lot.

So i have Luna on wet and dry foodnow and am feeding her much much more. Her belly is huge and i can feel two distinct lumps on each side of her, i havent seen or felt any movemebt yet tho. She is very slow and sleepy today and has to lay down every few steps. Its very hot and muggy here today so im keeping her as cool and breezy as i can.
My concern is that only her two lower nipples are extended and not burried by fur, will she lose the fur by her others soon or will the babies have trouble latching on? Shes been napping in hee box most of the day and been going back and fourth from there to the cool hardwood floor behind her chairand the linoleum in the kitchen. Im washing lots of towels and blankets for her and have been Reading tons and watching as many videos as possible, but this is m first pregnant kitty and im a worry body. Im worries maybe her teats didnt develop in the right amount of time Because i may not have changed her diet in the right amount of time
