Can somebody recommend to me a good flea collar or product that can get rid of fleas without harming my cat?

Talk to your vet about flea medication options. There are some good ones out there.

I bet there are. I did have a flea product from my vet, but I think it got lost in the shuffle when we moved a couple of months ago. Mostly I just wanted to see what people here might have used that seems to work pretty well.
We use Revolution on our cats because it treats for fleas, mites, worms, and heartworms.
