Help newborn kittens have fleas

Hi I'm new here. My cat Noelle just gave birth to five beautiful babies and now they have fleas all over them. What can I do to get rid of these parasites so I can save the babies? I have diatamatious earth, but can I rub that in their fur without hurting them? Please help me I don't want my babies to die. Thank you

Do you have a flea comb?  Run that through their fur.  That will rid them of many.  Keep doing that several times a day until they are at least a week old.  Congratulations on your new litter of kittens.

As soon as mom settles down...in a day or two...she needs a flea bath.  Vacuum very well around and in the nest without disturbing the newborns too much.
