Cat's face is swollen

So we had guests and we kept our bedroom door closed but my younger cat kept clawing at the carpet beneath the door to come in and then would do the same to go back out. At some point, we put her in my dog's kennel (as we do sometimes to calm her down) to get her to stop but when we woke up this morning her face was swollen. Any ideas?

Possibly from trying to get out of the crate, rubbing her face on the door??
