Just back from picking up two of my own kittens that were neutered/spayed today. I need details.

Anymore kittens? Is the discharge a lot? Is it bright red? Is there a sac that came out? Please explain as best you can. Is she in distress?

It is normal for a cat to bleed or spot a little for a couple of days after giving birth. Her lady parts will also be sore, so she will lick them. She will be very hungry and continue to eat a lot while she is nursing, because it requires a lot of nutrients to feed her babies.

If she is acting fine then she is most likely okay. I told you earlier that they can frequently appear lumpy like there is still another kitten when there is not. That's because her uterus is stretched out and must shrink back. Expect to see her lick herself down there for several days, and the spotting should stop in a couple of days.

If she acts ill or in distress, or has more than spotting, you will need to see a vet. I hope this helps! :)

How much blood? Is it just spots, or is it trickling out steadily?

I just saw this forum, any kittens yet? Can you tell if any kittens are en-route? Do you see any kittens coming halfway?

Have you phoned an emergency vet? I really need to know how much blood. She probably needs to be seen. I'll wait until you post. Not going anywhere .

Okay, I was doing that just now, this is concerning, it does depend on how much there is, by the way their posts read, it sounds like a lot.

Agreed with sarthur, she should have a vet see her. Is she still bleeding? Are you there?

The Banfield Pet Hosp is open to 7pm in Whitehall.  I can't believe how many vets by you close at noon.  Their Phone # is 610-437-5435

Should she bring the kittens with so they can continue to nurse?  sorry I'm out the door anytime my cats throw up.

handsome kitty handsome kitty

That is good information. I can't believe how most vets around the country close early on Saturdays.

Hope she is either talking to a vet or taking her in. Need an update.
