What breed and/or color is my new fost kitty?

I am currently fostering (probably adopting... oops!) a gorgeous albeit slightly overweight kitty named Shunso that no one seems to agree on.

Some tell me snowshoe/siamese mix, others tell me domestic shorthair, some tell me blue eyes calico, others tell me seal tortie...

Could anyone tell me what color he is and if he is a siamese mix?

His coat is white, black and seal. His eyes are a very pure grey. On pictures they tend to take the color of things around him so they may seem blue or green. But they are 100% grey.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If it's any help I will try to take a clear picture of the patterns on his back tomorrow.

Righthy, whom you ask about, DOES it has blue eyes or not?  On the pics they aren not visibley blue.    Have also a good pic from the side, so we  see him from the side too.

AND eyes color yes.   :)

Lefty has the overall looks of a dark point, "siamese mix" yes.

Thanks for your answer!

I'll take some more pics of him tomorrow.

In the meantime you can see him here I guess, we were featured on buzzfeed last week: http://www.buzzfeed.com/samimain/please-leave#.snzR1BrWM

Yeah Schrödinger (other kitty) is a seal point siamix, no doubt about that.

More pictures of his back pattern/profile/eyes. Hope this helps!

Not a great pic but his back is visible and you can see the ACTUAL color of his eyes, not influenced by surrounding blue or green objects:

Profile:

Eyes close up (they look a bit too blue on this pic compared to what they are really like... So hard to capture their real color)

Oh my gosh!! I don't know his breed but he has AMAZING features!

If it helps, my own cat eyes tend to seem almost grey, especially the older he gets (half Snowshoe half Rag doll).

misterwhiskers, thank you! He is quite the gorgeous boy. :) We don't know exactly how old he is, the vet is stuck at somewhere between 2 and 5 haha.

Can I have him?  Too bad he's fixed...we could start a new breed of cat called Shunsos!  Everyone would want one.

Schrödinger, being so elegant and wit that build,  MUST be a fairly pure siamese, no mix but siamese for real,  Even if he hasnt no pedigree, because you wouldnt call him for mix if he had one...

Shunso, yes.   Among Ragdolls there are lineages where they dont have clear blue eyes...  They may even be greenish.   And there are also a quite common variation with mitted ragdoll, ie point with white.   Where this white makes the typical masque is oftnen not clearly visible.

So he could possibly be a descendant from such a one.  Paired with a point carrier but shorthaired,  he could perhaps become such a one as he is....

Snowshoe whom are shorthaired?  But they usually do have intensive blue eyes, even verry blue eyes...

So technically, the nearest comparison is some sort of pet quality snowshoe, so much mitted, he has a look of a Harlequin-pattern,  but I suspect the hereditary  is via a ragdoll...

Thanks your your input Stefan!

Schrody is from the street so he's probably not 100% siamese but he certainly has all the traits from one, loudmouth and annoying personality (but insanely smart) included. :p

So Shunso really is a mystery kitty isn't he, hehe. There are very few ragdolls here, the breed isn't popular at all, but I guess it's always possible that some pet had a one night stand?

He is also pretty big in his build (maybe it's just compared to Schrödinger who is very petite) so that would make sense.

He has some siamese personality traits too. He's very very vocal with a wide range of meows, like Schrody. But he is definitely much more chill, not as hyperactive and not always trying to get into trouble.

In the end it doesn't really matter, I'm just super curious!

I love your photos! Shunso does have a Snowshoe look to him... and that method of opening the closet door is very familiar: our snowshoe mix does the exact same thing!

He does have meezer personality! He's also great at letting me know when he wants to go outside. :p

Another picture of his stunning mug!
