snorting, grunting cat!

Max my 2 year old cat makes the funniest noises. He grunts and snorts! I've never in my life heard a cat do this before. He's healthy and gets his check ups regularly. I know that some cats like persians (whose faces are "smushed") have breathing problems, but he has a "normal" cat face.

I really think this is just a strange habit of my kitty. Anyone else who's kitty makes funny noises?

Loki makes snorting noises like a bull when he is full "attack the toy" mode (hehehe)

my 16 1/2 yr old will make snorting noises and sometimes sounds like a dog, esp when she is wanting food or loving!

I don't have a cat who snorts but a dog . My boston terrier snors lauder then my hubby

Sunshine and Phoenix both snore. Sunshine also sometimes makes a soft sighing/moaning noise in his sleep. It's pretty funny. (Neither of them have breathing probs, BTW).
