I posted on here about 48 hours ago regarding a little bright red blood on my cats stool. I had been transitioning her to raw, but since have backed off and today gave her none. I have been giving her Weruva Pumpkin and Tuna to help her digestion. She hasn't had a bowel movement since the other night (2 days ago) and I am becoming concerned. What is "normal" for a cat that has eaten raw. She is acting like she normally does and is urinating, just isn't having bowel movements. I should also note (not sure if it matters) that we moved from Chicago to Richmond, VA 4 days ago and she spent 14 hours in the car. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

My raw fed siamese often goes a day or two without pooping. My raw fed dog can also go a day or two without pooping sometimes... Not a major expert but from my experience not worrying. Bright red blood is less worrying than dry, black blood. Could be high bone content or irritation of the colon/anus since she's new to raw.

That sounds like a normal frequency for a raw fed cat. Normal for my cat is every two to three days.

My cats poop every day.

My Aby occasionally has some red-tinged poop. The vet wasn't concerned about it. NV raw is high in bone content so I think maybe sometimes an undigested bone fragment somehow irritates the colon or anus as the poop comes out.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I think feral cats that hunted and are brought inside and fed raw continue to have bowel movements daily. Inside cats that were on other diets, especially for some time, typically only have bowel movements every 2 or 3 days. There is less the body excretes as waste when feeding raw food, so the kitty that wasn't eating raw or hunting prey as food isn't "stimulated" to move their bowels until they are fuller than they are on one day of raw meals. It usually takes 2 or 3 days.

The bright red blood is from a ruptured vessel near the anus. it is usually from some type of irritation, and unless it increases or happens with frequency, it usually isn't something to worry about.

I brought in Hercules who had been living on the streets for around two years, but, based on his weight and behavior, was being fed by more than one person. He was part of the community cat colony I took care of, and probably ate canned food, dry food and the occasional bird, rodent and squirrel.
He had diarrhea (smelly) the first week, which I treated with the appropriate medication. I continued to fed him high quality canned, and then about a month later, transitioned him to raw. Fast forward four months, and he is almost 100% on raw. He tends to poop around every other day, fairly long poop.
Ritz (female, same age as Hercules) has been on raw for about three years. She doesn't poop as much.
I agree with the others--as long as the blood is bright and not too much, I don't think you need to worry too much.
