Greetings  wishing everyone a delightful Tuesday!

What unusual smells/scents do you like?

You know, unlike the typical and expected ones like flowers, fruit or baking.

For example, I really like the smell of an Equestrian tack shop. So nice! I also have a friend who enjoys the scent of chlorine.

I love the smell of leather. The smell of a freshly chlorinated pool is nice but bleach is awful.

What used to be new car scent.  That has changed and been toned down a lot because I guess the scent was actually due to some toxic chemicals.  I loved that scent though.  The real scent not the new car scent in a can, that stuff didn't smell right.

Barn smells; hay, livestock, straw, feed, and, to some degree, manure.

Linseed oil. I used to do a lot of oil painting and the smell of linseed takes me back to my art student days. I also like the smell you get from a jar of instant coffee when you first break the paper seal on a new jar.

Oh, and nail polish! That sweet, chemical~fruity smell that some nail polishes have.

The pages of certain hardcover books. Not old musty books, although those can be nice too. Not really sure how to describe those books, but their pages tend towards glossiness.

...with the cats...
i used to love the smell of the ink from the old mimeograph printouts during my school years.

just yesterday, i was enjoying the smell of freshly mowed grass -- but the grass was mowed the day before, and then when it rained yesterday the smell of the mowed grass became just lovely.

and, the smells of the grass, trees, flowering things, paved road, etc when it rains. everything smells so fresh and good then.

i also love the smell of wood smoke, like from a fire in a fireplace or when i open my wood stove doors to add more wood.
