My vet gave me Fortiflora for my cat Pixie, who is having soft stools and diarrhea. The box says to mix it with food, but Pixie won't eat the food with it mixed in. Weirdly, she will lick it up off a plate if it's by itself. She's already a picky eater, so I don't want to turn her off the couple of foods she will eat. Is there any harm in allowing her to lick up the Fortiflora, then feed her the meal?

That is odd.  I think the mixing with food is a convenience thing I don't think it would hurt to give it the way kitty will take it.  Kitties usually really love that stuff, it's often used as a topper when trying to get a kitty to accept a new food.

How funny.  It's fine whatever way she eats it.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't want to overdose her or make her feel worse by giving it alone.
