Hi! My kitten will start weaning next week and I'd like to get some recommendations on what brand to buy.

So far I've looked into:
Blue Buffalo: Wilderness
Nutro: Natural Choice
Tiki Cat

Someone also reccommended Fancy Feast, but I want to see if I can find anything else. I don't need anything ridiculously expensive or cheap. Just a brand that will most likely give my kitten less problems in the long run.

What do you recommend?

Nutro Natural Choice and Tiki are both very good brands, mostly meat and no unnecessary grains, vegetables etc. Some flavors in both brands do have carrageenan in them, so if that's something you want to avoid you'll need to check the individual flavors for it.

Nutro Natural Choice is probably the better choice for weaning, they have a kitten food that's a nice soft pate, easy to eat. Tiki has shredded meat and sometimes pretty big pieces, so not as easy for a baby kitten to deal with.

I personally am not a fan of Blue Buffalo, they put too many carbs in all their foods IMO.

I second all that advice! We feed both Tiki and Nutro Natural Choice to our cats and they work very well for them. And I'm also not a fan of Blue Buffalo.
Our cats also loved Wellness Core's kitten food; I still buy it for them every now and then, as a treat, even though I've generally cut all their foods with carrageenan. (It also has a little fish, herring, I think.)

I've fed Royal Canin kitten formula to my senior cat who needed to gain some weight. He really liked it and it's from a well-known and well-respected company. It's available at PetSmart and PetCo. And it's reasonably priced, I think.

Best regards.

Thanks all, for the advice. It was appreciated!
I chose Nutro since it was something I looked into, was recommended, and previously fed it to our dogs.
