This is more of a rant!

Our neighbour's kids afraid of our stary or so she claims Sure he is a large possibly bengal but he is also a well behaved gentle-cat. Non attacking keep out of your way sorts. If he has ever attacked these toads is cause their kids are alway chasing him with bats and screaming 'i will kill you' and their parents think its so cute!

Lately every morning I have noticed that someone upsets my bin everytime I have to leave it out cause I am going to work early. This lady has been going about telling people that our cat upset the bin. Like he'd ever look at it! He eats raw meat n fish only white fish only please. He is a full on drama king with his food and never even looks at the bin. I suspect this woman is purposely upsetting our bin to make it look like the cat is a problem. There is no rule against pets in our conplex, but they might object to a stray that supposedly causes a mess.

I have days when I want to throw stuff in from her window and say yes our cat threw that in :p

I'm so sorry you have to go through all this, it sounds like those people need to find a hobby or some other way to spend their time. The bin should have a tight fitting lid anyway, and should be made animal proof, there are stray dogs and raccoons, etc. that could be responsible too. If you ever see those kids chasing the cat with a bat I would definitely stop them and tell them you are contacting the police if they continue. Cruelty to animals has to be illegal, I know it is here in the US anyway. I would contact the nearest animal control and make them aware of the facts before that family does too. In my experiences, those children are being taught to hate and they will hurt that cat unless you or someone else steps in. If anything you have to make sure they know that cat is your responsibility and you will not tolerate any abuse or there will be repercussions. They don't have to know the cat is a stray, since you are caring for it, it is yours. Can you get a collar on him so it looks like he is owned? Make sure it is a breakaway cat collar so he doesn't get  caught. Bless you for caring for this guy, I'm sure he loves you and needs your protection, all the luck!

I know in UK it is customary for cats to be let outside.  Here in the states, we find it safer and sometimes easier to keep them in the house.  Is there a way you can do that?  Maybe you can build him a small screened or fenced in room so he can't wander the neighborhood - (and so the neighbor has no ammunition).

Of course, she doesn't seem to need much.  I mean, it's your bin, right - not hers?  She seems to want something to complain about and has chosen the cat.

But I agree with Bob and Di - animal cruelty is a serious matter and those children should not be going after any animal.  If your local police can intervene, it would surely teach them a lesson!

Is he your cat, or a stray/feral that you take care of? If he can't come live inside with you is there a way you could find him a new loving home?
Those kids sound sick! The parents are gonna have their hands full later on if they think harrasing the cat is a funny joke. How old are they? God knows what they might start doing to animals later on down the road.
