Hi, I am new to this site. I have been looking for a cat for my little girl. We really loved the ragamuffin breed. In contacting a breeder, the breeder told us of a set of kittens we could have for a reduced fee but they had this genetic condition. In watching the video of these kittens they seem to get around just fine, but have the typical problems with their forearms. We aren't worried about appearance etc, we fell in love with these kitties and would love to give them a home. We are just concerned if as they get bigger, older, etc, if there will be increased e lenses or if they will be in pain etc. I am a single mom so my income isn't huge and my child is an only child who would love a sweet companion to connect with. Thoughts ?

I don't have personal experience with an RH cat, but I know there are several popular ones online.  Many do well, but I'm not sure of extra care or complications arise as they age. I did a search here for threads on RH.  Here are the results.  Perhaps you can find some answers while you wait for a reply.

Hi, and bless you for taking in two Radial Hypoplasia cats! I rescued my beautiful Radial Hypoplasia cat from Animal Services (kill shelter), where he was dumped with his sibling. His sibling got adopted without him so I adopted him.

If you still have any questions at all about Radial Hypoplasia cats, feel free to write or message me. I just highly suggest carpeted floors (or rugs) because it's slippery for them as they walk on their forearms.
