Years ago pets were becoming very sick and dying from pet food manufactured with ingredients from China.  I was happy that I did not have any problems, as some people I knew did.  I fed my cat Friskies and have stayed with that since then.  Now the tabby has been to the vet 3 times in a year for urinary tract infections.  The other cat (a Van) licks off all the fur on his belly, turning it very ugly, and I decided this was a food allergy.  Started to feed them separatly because one cat was on a special renal diet for his kidneys, (atophied) the vet said.  The Van became crazed again about eatting, couldn't get enough,  begging constantly, in your face, nudging and nipping to get your attention. Several years ago, both cats gained an enormous amount of weight and I have slowly been getting them thinner again.  I could no longer keep food out, only fed them twice a day. I was feeding both of them Friskies canned with variety of flavors.  I am now only using the salmon.  The Van had started to have seizures recently, I thought it was his age (13) and the other cat recentlty developed foul smelling urine, (kidneys again??)  Now that I am only feeding the canned Salmon variety of Friskies, the Van no longer has seizures, stopped licking the fur off his belly, not crazed about food.  The tabby no  longer has foul smelling urine.  I spoke with someone else about an hour ago and she has similar problems with her cat.  2 vets told them the cat was "anxious"  Seen by a fancy West Hampton Vet.  Anxious.  Has an "eatting disorder"  Put on Prozac and Science diet and special herbal medication.  The cat is better but know we both wonder why similar symptoms in our cats, both on the same food.  I believe that the pet industry is again buying cheap ingredients from China.  Does anyone else have a problem?  Seizures indicate toxins in the food.  Now I do know what to feed the cats.  What cat foods are processed in this country with only ingredients from this country?  Are there any?  If Chinese food is harming our pets, what will it do to us when they preocess our chickens in the futrure (thank you Congress).

I don't really know what foods are fully from the U.S.  A lot of companies make the made in the U.S.A claim but that doesn't mean that everything that went into the food was from the U.S.  People used to be able to make their own food and know what went in it but now because of a free trade agreement and a suit brought against the U.S. food isn't supposed to  be marked by country of origin.
