Anyone give their cat Prazosin?

The vet gave it for stress, after his first UTI. anyone have luck putting it in their wet food?

Its a capsule and wondered if i could open it and sprinkle in their food. If its not bitter.

Did your Vet not give you instructions on how to use it?  All I can find on this medication is that's it's to be given with food.  I take that to mean that opening the capsule and mixing it with food would be just fine, but I would think your Vet would be the best person to ask, since I do know there ARE some meds that are not even supposed to be cut in half to be given (like Denamarin)  Since this is in a capsule, though, I would think it's fine, if you can get your cat to eat it .

I would try to find the stinkiest food you can find to mix it in, unless your cat isn't a picky eater. 

My vet just prescribed this medication for our kitty for urethra spasms.  How is your kitty doing on this med?  Any bad side effects or anything I should watch for?  Hope your kitty is doing well.
