Sometimes mama cats will have an abundance of loose stool the day of or the day before their labor begins.  This makes for a cleaner delivery overall and nature seems to take care of it. Others seem to go off their food for a day or so before delivery.  They are all different but I would not worry about it at this point as long as she seems otherwise healthy.

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

What do you count as her due day?  How long preg do you count with, EXACTLY?    Ie, how long has she been pregnant now?

Anyways, cats usually do manage too long pregnancy better than humans.

Its a too short pregnancy which is a real danger - for the kittens, they dont manage well to be premature, again unlike humans.

She's probably fine and within a couple of days of natural delivery. My vet did an x-ray on my pregnant cat and also said 7 to 10 days. She gave birth on the 12th day and was also huge! It's not an exact science. Be patient! :)

OK, as SAthur said, its no exact science.

I though you knew exactly when she mated, and thus the question were, how long a typical pregnancy is.  The easy answer is, its no exact science either.

But if you had said, she is 70 days now,  I would begin to sweat me too...   :)

MOONPIE, the day before she delivered five healthy kittens.  She came from a hoarding situation in this condition and I have no idea when she bred.  This was obviously not her first litter, and she was a great mama.  She's the only cat I've ever had who actually yelled as each baby was born.  It was a little upsetting, but she did everything she was supposed to do.  They were adorable fat little guys too.  They all gt good homes, and I had her for about a year before she too got a good home.
