My mom and I adopted Gracie as a kitten sometime around 2009. She likes so be by herself but I don't mind at all. She loves to drink water from the faucet and play with toys, although she acts like she doesn't care about them half of the time. Her favorite spot is a big bed right next to my mom's that originally intended for my dog. When she wants you to turn the faucet on she'll purr, bump heads with you and generally gets very excited. We've moved a few times since we've gotten her and she always takes it very well, even when we moved all the way to Florida from New Jersey. Everyone talks about how cute she is and I can't agree more. We lost one of our other cats about a week ago but she's taking it pretty well. I wouldn't say that they were the best of friends but they loved each other. Excuse her eye boogers.
Shia is a new kitten. On Monday morning I was woken up by my mom's friend's son knocking on our door. He was holding a kitten. All I could see was her head, which looks a lot like Gracie's. Because of that, my lack of glasses and being half asleep I thought he was holding a little Gracie. It turns out that one of his coworkers found her in the bushes at the place he works. He decided to give her to us since our cat, Mika, suddenly died recently. She's going to the vet for the first time in a few hours! She's new to the family but I love her a lot already. I like to say that she didn't finish applying her eyeliner because the rims of her eyes are mostly black but there's a patch of pink on one of them. She spends a lot of time sleeping on my chest.
And now for Mika. We lost him on May 29th when he had a seizure. He was so young and what happened is a mystery. He was one of the most loveable cat's I've ever met and couldn't stand to be away from me or my mom. I miss feeling him sleep in my lap and hearing him crying at my door for me to let him in. I miss him so much and I wish I got to take more pictures of him.
