Where do I find info on making Amox? My cats have always been healthy. I have a rescue cat that I've returned to the shelter for treatment (twice treated with an injectible antibiotic) and had to a vet twice (three courses of Augmentin, one a call-in refill), but the infection persists. It's almost gone when the Rx runs out and the conditions begins to worsen. I'm concerned about resistance between vetting after the antibiotic is finished. This rescue cat is costing me a lot of money and has to be kept quarantined from my other cats. Months have gone by. If I can't find an affordable longer term antibiotic treatment for this cat, it will have to be euthanised. I can't risk my other cats catching this infection.

Whaqt do you mean, "Making Amox"?  Are you talking about Amoxicillin and what do you mean about making it?

How long has the cat been sick?  Why don't you return the cat to the shelter instead of euthanising?  Euthanizing is not medically appropriate for a cold.
