What do you think of these cat foods?

Hello! I've been looking at the site for a little while, but this is my first post. =)

I'm trying to pick some new foods for my cat - he used to be on completely dry food, but I'm hoping to switch to at least 50-75% wet, more if possible. I'll like to keep the monthly cost around $30 or under, which is pretty hard with wet food. The only grain-free foods I've found that I might be able to feed 100% are these:

http://performatrin.com/products/performatrin-adult-grain-free-chicken-formula-cat-food/

https://www.friskies.com/cat-food/wet-cat-food/classic-pate-turkey-giblets-dinner

With both of these I just picked random non-fish flavour (with Friskies I would only use pate food). What do you think of these foods?

In a slightly more expensive category, I'm wondering about these foods:

http://www.holisticselect.com/product.aspx?pet=cat&cat=2&pid=91

http://performatrin.com/products/performatrin-ultra-chicken-stew-cat/

http://www.chickensoup.com/product/34812/adult-cat-wet-food

Fancy Feast pate, price wise, fits into this category, however ingredient-wise I'm thinking it would be in the first one, so I'm leaving it out. However, if you think it's just as good as Holistic Select, Perfomatrin Ultra, or Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul, that's also an option.

I'm planning to do a rotation, so I'm hoping to pick three or four different brands. =) If you post opinions on any of them, thank you in advance! Or if you have any other suggestions, feel free to post those too.

Friskies and Fancy Feast pate style foods are both good budget foods. They have a higher protein content than other budget foods, but the quality of the protein tends to be lower.

The others all are a bit higher in carbs than recommended - about 15%-18% when the recommended amount is 10% or less.  Of the four I would pick grain-free Performatrin or Holistic Select over the non-grain free Performatrin and Chicken Soup.

Raintyger beat me to it! Meaning: I'd also go for the Fancy Feast, Friskies, or grain-free Performatrin.

Thanks for the responses! I'm happy to hear about Friskies and Fancy Feast being decent quality. Friskies is about half the price of Fancy Feast, so if I use that for a majority of my cat's diet, I'll be able to add some higher quality foods into the rotation.

Just to confirm, do you mean the Performatrin Ultra food, or the regular Performatrin food is better (they're apparently both marketed as grain free)?

Oops, sorry! I meant Performatrin Adult and not the Ultra stew. The stew had a lot of starches - potatoes, peas, potato starch, carrots, etc. That sort of equated in my mind to grains.

You can find Friskies sold in bulk at Costco or Sam's Club. Some of the bulk cartons have too much fish flavors, though.

Okay, thank you!

I'll try getting some next time I need cat food, though I'm pretty certain my cat will like it, he usually like any cat food.
