Has anyone used CatMD maximum defense Fipronil flea and tick drops for their kitty's? Was in the store to purchase Advantage 2 but the lady working in petsmart said this works just as good. I did some research online and it has the same active ingredient as Frontline. Should I spend the extra $$ on Advantage 2? This is for my strictly outdoor kitty's! Is there any place I can get flea drops for cheaper? It gets so expensive and adds up so quick. Thank you!

I have heard that in most areas, Frontline is not working as well as it used to, so the fipronil may not be the best thing for you. Yu will have to try it and see if you want to compare with Advantage II. The fleas are becoming immune. You can get Advantage II affordably, and I have been happy with that for my inside/outside cats. I do use it every 3 weeks in the summer because I am in Georgia and we have a long flea season, and that pretty much matches the flea's life cycle. It is safe to use as often as once a week in heavy infestations, so every 3 weeks is perfectly safe. I will PM you about how to get Advantage II affordably.
