Hi everyone, I was doing research on here and someone had posted about something similar last year but they never followed up after going to the vet.

My cat is about 8 months old or so and about 5 months ago, I noticed the bridge of her noise was kinda wide and there appeared to be a raised lump under the skin. There's no red, it doesn't seem to bother her, and she doesnt sneeze alot or have a running nose or eye gland issues.

I do notice, however, that I can hear her breathing from time to time. Almost like if you have a sinus issue. I took her to the vet back in January and they gave her anti biotics for an upper respiratory infection but it never really went away. I took her back to the vet about 2 weeks ago and the doctor didn't seem concerned about it since she has no other symptoms.

Today, I was checking her face out and I couldn't help but peer into her nose and I noticed some little white bumps or nodules in one nostril (the right//her left). The vet had recommended I try infant saline drops which I've done like 3 (the cat's not a fan!).

I don't know what to do. I'm worried but she doesn't have any symptoms. Am I just overreacting? Or should I get a second opinion? I attached a picture so you can kind of see how her nose broadening on the bridge.

Here's another pic, you can see it's rounded. The lump itself is actually not over the entire part of the nose, but raised a bit on right side//her left. Sorry they're not the best. She's not being cooperative :D I'll get more.

I realize the pics don't do it justice. I'll post some more of a side profile, but any ideas based on what I wrote?

It looks like possibly an inflamed sinuses problem? I've not ever seen anything like your cat in any of mine. I'm not really sure, I suppose keep and eye on it and if it bothers her to see another vet, possibly a cat-only vet?

I know this is an old post but thought it might be useful for others. I have a Russia blue with the exact same lump on the nose. It's nothing to worry about it seems. Our cat has had a few problems with his nose where it was going bald. He's had skin scrappings and a biopsy and the lump was no problem at all. Turned out he had dermidex mites on his nose which are all gone now. Floyd is also a noisy breather through his nose. He does have asthma however which could explain that in our case. Don't worry about the lump though. Think its just one of those things you notice when your cat does eventually develop a problem.
