Hello all,

I'm fairly new to the site and I would love to hear from any other owners who have cats that suffer from allergies and have found effective treatments for them.

I have posted a thread in cat health in referrence to what I am looking for. you can see it here. http://www.thecatsite.com/t/298712/need-effective-allergy-treatment-for-my-cat

I look forward to helping other cat lovers and also receiving help as I need it.

Hi, welcome to TCS!  Our cat Blackberry has terrible skin allergies.  The first time I touched her (she was a cat abandoned by the neighbors) I drew back my hand in horror.  She was covered in what felt like clumps of scabs.  With regular trips to the vet (for the dreaded shot) and the really good flea medicine, she is doing so much better.  She was prescribed CTM, but we never gave it to her.  She didn't seem to need it once things got under control.  Food allergies are a different story; I've never dealt with them.  I wish you and your cat the best, because I know how difficult treating allergies can be.

Thanks @nurseangel for your input and understanding. Trying to explain what we go through with our cats with allergies is like a civilian trying to relate to a veteran and their experience. Just can't happen.

I am seeking out the help of a local homeopath that a friend shared with me. Hopefully they will be able to get things all normal.
