Yes I feed her. I feed her kitten food, for mot articals on the topic say to.   I think it was a shot of penicillin.  What ever it was, they feel better today!

Okay, I'm glad they are on the mend. I am wondering though about the kennel set up.  I do have another question, when you say kennel, what do you mean by that? Do you mean a large metal dog kennel? If so, she may not be throwing them out, if she is locked in there they may crawl out and fall. I am also wondering if/why is the kennel up so high that its possible for them to fall? If you can, set the kennel flat on the floor if it is safe and fix it up nicely with blankets and towels also cardboard around the edges and bottom inside so they cannot fall/crawl/drop out. At least a foot high. Does mother cat have a litterpan and plenty of food/water?  If she is freindly, it sounds as if she is, can you very carefully, turn her over and check to see if she has any milk and if the kittens have nursed at all?

I keep injured cats in my storage house, in which my family calls the Clinic, even though it is of no sorts of being a vet clinic.  no, this is not a metal dog crate, but two rabit cages hooked togather, one with a litter box, one with bedding, food in water in the middle of the two cages.  She has milk, and she seems to be nursing the kittens that are alive.

Okay, I am glad for the good update. I'm not sure where you live but you'll need to be sure it doesn't get too hot as enclosed areas get hot quickly even a warm, sunny day. Maybe set up a fan or something?

yes I will put up a fan.  it has been rainy weather most of the time this summer, but every few days we get one of those hot summer days.  I will keep a fan up there for those days.

Okay that should help, if you don't my asking, how many cats do you have? I have a colony myself. There are 24 to 25 of them. One of the hangs back a lot so I don't see her much. I have had all mine TNRed and I was wondering if yours were too as you know cats breed very fast. My local Humane Society has a program for 1/2 off the surgery itself. At least for this momma cat,  once the young ones are weaned you can get her spayed as well so you both do not have to go through any more unnecessary heartache. Your local Humane Society might have a similar program and your clinic might help also.  Please keep us posted on the momma cat and kittens.

Before spring, I counted 26. now we have kittens, so we have in total 36 cats/kittens.   the ones that don't know I am trying to trap them are the ones I catch and neuter. I always called it TSR.  Trap Spay release.  I will do daily updates when I am available.

It sounds like you could use some help with the TNR, 36 cats is a lot to deal with and six months from now all those kittens will start producing litters of their own.

Have you tried contacting Alley Cat Allies or The Humane Society to see if they can help you?

How do your parents feel about you getting all the cats fixed, are they willing to help you trap the cats or to drive you to a cheap Spay and Neuter Clinic? There might be other groups doing TNR in your area, you could ask them for help too.

The cheapest in our area is about $40  a cat.  The clinic I go to normaly is about $70 per male, $90 per female, and$120 if the female is pregnant.

With that many cats, is this affordable for you? How many have you been able to fix so far? And do you have both males and females TNR'd?

I think you are handling things really well, by the way! :)

I am wondering also with Sarthur2 about this, have you tried contacting the local Humane Society to see if they might have a special program? Especially since June is usually a month that specials on vaccines and spay/neuters are run. Also the clinic might give you a discount if you explain the situation, possibly a multi-cat discount? It wouldn't hurt to ask. :) I hope for the best for you and the kitties. Also any updates on momma cat and kittens?

Yes, this is affordable for me.  we have already neutered about 20 of them, female and male.
