Hello.

Today's question is; Have you ever won anything?

A prize, a contest, a spelling bee, anything like that?

I've had two small lottery wins. I won 50 quid while I was living in the UK. Not much, but I was a student at the time so it felt huge.

I won the Japanese Lotto Six once, just enough to buy myself a new pair of shoes.

Oh, and think I won either 2nd or 3rd prize in a school drawing contest when I was around 9.

I was placed in the occasional (very) local showjumping/gymkhana competition as a kid, but that's about it. Having said that, I don't tend to enter competitions, which does make winning that bit harder ;) I've never even played the lottery :lol3:

Oh, I've just remembered. I used to go to regular dog training classes (obedience and heelwork to music - not that we ever did any full routines). Every so often there'd be a 'fun day'. Leah and I used to do quite well - if memory serves, we got quite a lot of 1st and 2nd placings.

Yes, I've won tons of contests. A free pvr and 6 months of satellite service, a $1400 bbq, tickets to various concerts and events (most recent being Taylor Swift but that isn't until October and tickets to see The Wiggles last year), a baby bottle gift set, a bunch of baby products....there's been a lot more than that but I'd be here for a while listing everything and trying to remember it all.

I won some medals in high school competing in solo and ensemble contests, and when I was13 I entered a Texas-wide art contest and won 1st place. It was an all-expenses paid vacation for my family, but I was really shooting for the 2nd place prize which was a new bicycle.

I won a $200 credit at a local grocery store a few years ago, and my family and I tend to always win door prizes,I don't know why.

We had tests in certain grades of school which were actually a measure of the schools teaching.  I know they have been brought up recently as some new controversial thing but I am 59 and we had them when I was in school.  They were given either every other or every third year.  They gave out blue, red and yellow ribbons for higher scores in each section.  I usually got 2 or 3 blue or red ribbons.  I was one of those odd people who did very well on tests, better than what my grades would portray.  It's usually the other way around, people have issues taking tests, I was the opposite.

I won a doll when my grandfather bought a raffle tickets.
I've one some money in my premium bonds and on a weekly drawer thing. I can't think of anything else.

I've won a few things; mostly through drawings.  I won a Scentsy warmer and set of 3 bars for it.  I won a gift card to Build-a-Bear and a few hairbows for my DD.

I won a few ribbons at the state fair for floral arranging when I was in high school.  I won a few awards for state Latin tests too; which had low entries in the first place, so I'm not necessarily bragging over those.

I've won a few games at baby showers.  Does that count?
