Am I right that these tumors happen at the injection site?

My kitten had a shot in between shoulder blades frvcp modified live about 10 days ago and now he has a tiny bump on top of his head.

I assume I am just worried but wanted to confirm that the tumors when they do happen is directly at injection site?

Yes, the tumors grow where the vaccine is given. Ask your vet next time to give the vaccine in the tail or down low on a leg. Most vets give vaccines there rather than between the shoulders so that if a tumor does occur, the limb/tail can be easily amputated to get rid of the tumor.
