A couple of weeks ago, my mom, a friend, & I were walking around downtown, & I saw this in one of the art shop windows.

They were made out of sisal!   Life size, So cool!!

I thought you all would love to see them.

Here's a print I bought in the shop. It's 10 x10, I still have to get it matted & framed. The artist uses layers of fabric.

Some of her pieces were in the store. (not cheap!)  Beautiful work. There was one of a mermaid that was beautiful.

My print say that it is only one of 50.  It was 30.00, so it was a little splurge for myself.  Plus, I liked that I was supporting a local artist.

Those life size lions are amazing!  It must have been quite something to walk past that window and just seeing them there.  I love your print too: well worth the money as a limited edition print I'd say.  It is quite something and I would have loved to see the collage the print is of.
Very beautiful.  Thank you for sharing.

Aww, thanks! I'm glad you liked the lions. Yea when I first saw them I was like whaaaat? The sign with them says "no animals were hurt in the making of them." Then explains what they are made of. You might can read the sign in the picture.

Mouse might plan an attack,  your guys could all gang up on one!
I see sisal flying - it might not be pretty by the end.
Yes, I remember the carnage they inflicted on the tatami mats in our last place. Those poor lions wouldn't stand a chance.

My pair of tabbies used to 'gang up' on all the rugs I had in my appartment and I'd come in pretty much every day to crumpled balls all over the place with bits of shredded ends scattered about.

Oh yes @Angels mommy, my girls knew how to have fun.
I might as well have shared my apartment with a pair of Abysinnians the chaos they used to cause when they were youngsters.
