Can I give my cat Pepcid (Famotidine) and Miralax at the same time?

Is there any contraindication between Pepcid (Famotidine) and Miralax? If anyone knows this please let me know.

I asked the vet about it, but I still haven’t got an answer yet. However, I already mixed them together into her food last night… Not sure about tonight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would wait until you hear from the vet. There might be some contraindications between the two. Let us know what the vet says - I am curious to hear about this.

Hi seaturtle,
Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t give her Miralax last night. I'll update it here when I get the response from the vet!

I always gave them together when I was doing the oral Famoditine.  Now we are doing injectables, so no need

Hi mrsgreenjeens!
Thank you so much!! That’s so nice to know! Your vet told you to give them together? If you don't mind my asking.

Somehow I still haven’t got an answer from the vet. I give my cat Miralax in the morning, and afternoon. I want to give it every 12 hours, but without the vet’s response I’m afraid to give them together at the same time.

I give Artie liquid pepcid.

The Miralax, I mix with water, in a paper cup, and add that to his food....

It is so much easier to give that way..no fuss, no muss....

Hi Artiemom,
Thank you for the input! Me too, if I can choose liquid or tablet, I always choose liquid. I give liquid pepcid 0.4ml per day in the night.

Oh, I don’t use a paper cup, I just put the Miralax in the food dish, and add about 3 Tbsp of water.

Our Vet didn't TELL us to give them together.  Vet also did NOT tell us to give them at separate times
