I have 2 kittens, they're both 9 weeks old from the same litter.. one has put on more weight than the other and its concerned me a bit but she was eating so I figured she just had a faster metabolism or something (they're both active and playful and they nap and play during the same times)

However, today when I was eating the smaller kitten became extremely aggressive, hissing and growling for my food.. Which leads me to think she was starving.. I don't monitor their intake as I leave dry food out at all times so I got to thinking if she wanted my food and was that aggressive over it (the first time I've ever seen her aggressive) she must not like her food and prefers wet food.

Since I'm not at all an expert and this is the first time I've owned kittens I thought I'd ask here if that sounds like it could be true or maybe she was just in a bad mood or something else.. thought I'd ask more experienced kitty owners

thoughts?

Feed canned food in separate dishes in separate rooms.
Can I mix dry food in with it?

What about kitten milk? I bought some today, it said "for weaned kittens as a snack" on the box, they loved it, but I don't want to buy it again if it's not good for them

It's common for one cat to dominate the food supply and leave the other cat with less. I agree with feeding one kitten in a room with the door closed until the slower kitten has finished her portion. Kitten milk is totally unnecessary for weaned kittens, I wouldn't get any more. :)

Ya.. I got 2 small bottles of it but I won't be giving them the other one because they got sick from it.. one vomited afterward and then after I put them to bed I woke up to a litterbox which looked like it was puked in and their poop looked like diarrhea

Neither of my kittens would eat dry when I first got them.  I used to put wet food on top of the dry and eventually he would eat it.  I'm not sure why the 2nd cat started eating the dry.  I think she saw the older cat (they are 6 months apart) and decided to try it after a while.

They still only eat dry as a last resort.  I leave it out all the time in case they get hungry.  Of course treats are another story!
