Has there been any reaction to the wormer (ie diarrhoea)? It might be due to the cat having a heavy worm burden.
I think you need to contact the vet pretty urgently though - if cats go too long without food they can develop hepatic lipids is (fatty liver disease). Not something you want to deal with.
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
She hasn't had a reaction before. She did get her annual immunisations and the a couple of days later I wormed her. Then the next day she only ate a little bit. Then nothing last night or this morning. She ate a little when I hand fed her tonight but then vomited it up.
She still has her personality and is being her purring cuddly self.
That little food going in is really concerning. It can take as little as 48hrs of zero food intake for hepatic lipidosis to set in. Try and get her to the vet today. In the meantime, raw goat's milk is gentle and easily digested. If you can't get raw, regular is ok. Goat's milk yogurt is a possibility too. The other great option is plain cooked chicken or turkey with a little rice or plain pumpkin puree. Do call the vet though. Hope she's ok :cross:
