So I went to look at mittens last week and the lady said she was ready then but to wait a few days,Monday night I got a message saying I can collect her so I did, got her home and saw flees messagd the lady who then told me she was only 6 weeks. She didn't eat food alL night but did drink water and kitteN milk I put down for her. It's now Wednesday and she still hasn't ate or pooped. I had her at vets yesterday and he sprayed her for her fleeS but didn't check her over just shoved me out. I'm really worried as it's along time for a kitten to not eat or go for a poo. The lady I got her off said she was weaned and ready to go so I assumed she was over 8 weeks and eating. Obv I was wrong. I text the lady, but her response was it's your kitteN Now and my responsibility which I do
understand but surey she should still be with her mum? but what can I try feed her, she's got biscuits down and wet food, water and kitteN milk.

Raw goat's milk would be great for her if you can get it - its often used when hand rearing kittens. Next best options are regular goat's milk or plain goat's yogurt. Don't worry about the biscuits - an all wet diet is healthier anyway. She might take wet food better if you water it down a bit so it can be lapped up.

If your vet wasn't prepared to check her over, then you might want to try another vet who's more cat - friendly.

I wouldn't worry about no poop just yet - if she hasn't eaten there won't be much anyway. If it continues, try a little gentle abdominal massage, or stimulating her anus with a damp washcloth - mimicking what a mother cat would do to help a young kitten poop.

Lastly, you need to be certain of Mittens' age. Is she six weeks, or might she be younger still? The breeder certainly doesn't sound very responsible.

Good luck with her. She's lucky to have such a caring new mom. Hopefully you'll get some more expert advice here too - I'm not used to young kittens, but I've given you the advice I've picked up from other TCS members.
