Please I found a baby kitten and i took her in. I have absolutely no experience taking care of cats, but I adore animals. I am extremely worried because it seems that since the kitten have changed diets she has now digestive problems. First 2 days diarrhea, then we took her to the vet and they gave her something that it seems to have stopped the problem, but then she started vomiting and wanting to do number two and not being able to do so.... :( im really worried, it's really tiny and I want her to survive, i am already way too attached to her....

Pleaseee i have a similar problem, it seems that my kitten has a digestive problem too. Took her to the vet and they also did an enema, however, she is not pooping on her own, the vet keeps suspending the food and she is extremely hungry, and me.... not sleeping, not working, not concentrating, :(
How old is the kitten?  What food do you usually have?  What tries had you done?

How old is she? Try stimulating her ability to poop by gently rubbing her tummy and lightly tapping her privates. Some here say to run the bottoms under warm water making sure kitten is dried after.
What are you feeding her? I'm not an expert on kittens at all, but worry she might be dehydrated. Has the vet given you a needle-less syringe? To gently push water or meds into her, in the cheek area, very slowly so she doesn't choke?

@catwoman, can you help??? I'm concerned about the constipation too. Especially with the vomiting.

thank you for caring so much. Hang on, I'm sure you will get answers soon.

Does she vomits much?  If so, the vomiting may have caused some dehydration, causing the poo get hard = constipation, sort off...

Do you know what the vet gave stopping the diarrhea?    did the vet seem knowleable?

I ask, because, if the vomiting and the situation is bad, its a vet errand again.  But if the vet is so so, perhaps specialist on say, birds,  a new vet visit wont help much.  Still, you are a paying patient there so, please ask again there.

Anyway, try to give her more fluids.  Begin with what you have at hand, water. Proceed with a bought or home made pedialyte.   Forcefeed if necessary.  Tummy down, head up, in the corner of the mouth, cautiously so you are sure she swallows properly.

Food in fluidal form, depending on her exact age...  Goat milk is always useful, especielly if you can get raw goat milk.

We need your reports.   If she has perhaps already deceased, OR you found adequate help from somewhere else, its no big point for us to rally up a rescue posse.

Kittens are constantly growing and use a great deal of energy playing, so they take lots of naps. They will have bursts and be up for awhile, even a couple of hours, and then sleep for maybe 6 or 8 hours in the afternoon, for instance. And as they grow, their schedule changes, just like human babies. But they do sleep quite a bit!

A kitten may poop several times one day and maybe once or twice another day. Mine went very frequently when very young, and now poop once or twice a day each at age eleven weeks. Is yours using the litter box?

Good you took it to the vet and are getting the diet straightened out. Nice to hear he likes the kitten food. How old is he? :)

She is one month and 1/2... she is all better now, I'm glad!!! I am extremely sensitive when it comes to animals and this little fellow was driving me crazy because I thought i might loose her. Now she sleeps a lot, but she seems very healthy. I do not trust the vets very much, I'm currently living in Lebanon, so..... yeah... I get the feeling they are ripping me off because I've spent so much money on her... lol... anyway I'm very happy that she is doing better. Now, regarding food, I don't have much money to buy really fancy and expensive food for her, i wish i could but i really cant. Are there any other types of food I can give her....more accessible I mean? :) Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks!!!!!!!

What cat foods are available in the stores where you live? Can you get Fancy Feast, for instance?

Ill check it out...currently im using Pate she loves it... but i find it too greasy i dont know if that is going to be a problem...and i also think is for older cats... there arent many options here and as i said the food they sell in vet clinics is really expensive...
