Does anyone have ideas about the breed of my cat?

Name: Roxy

DOB: approx 6/22/14

Weight: approx 10 lb

Eyes: Blue, slightly crossed

Fur: Medium-Long

I rescued Roxy last fall from a lady who found her dumped on the road with 2 siblings, here's the only picture I have of all of them (she is bottom right).

Another baby pic:

Here she is today:

I've been calling her a Siamese snowshoe mix due to her (somewhat patchy) coloring and her eyes but I'm not sure, mainly due to the fact that she is super quiet which is very un-Siamese like.  I'm surprised if she lets out one small meow each day.  She is very sweet and easy-going, loves attention although weary of strangers.  She tolerates being held well and likes to be in the same room/on the couch with me but is not necessarily a lap cat yet.  She is very playful and still goes on crazy kitten bursts running around the apartment.  She stands kind of like a ballerina with her front paws bent slightly outward.  Also, she likes to lay on her back with her belly exposed and flops over on the carpet.

My guess is Ragdoll mix. She could be my cats twin, though Roxys fur is more luxurious.

Robin is half Ragdoll and half snowshoe, but your cats longer fur (and temperament) leads me to think Ragdoll, maybe even mostly or all. She is gorgeous! Love the nose!!

Its very interesting.  All three kittens are apparently the same, point, long/medium fur, and  black and white.  Ie, they do seem purebred of sorts.  But what sort of a breeder dumps a whole litter of purebred kittens?  No serious breeder.  Nor even a serious experimental breeder - like the one whom constructed the Snowshoe from mixing siameses with black and white American shorthair...  They apparently do gets some kittens whom they wont proceed with, but they always take full responsibility for these.  This way or another.   No evil dumping no there.

Also, a breeder whom got an oops litter, perhaps from a young son mating with mom, they take care of them and find them home.

So, my guess it was a BYB breeder trying to construct something, but the result wasnt according to the breed standards and thus difficult to sell.

The easiest way to get both parents with exactly the same looks is probably  using very near relatives, mating them together., so there is some inbreeding here, I guess.

What they are exactly, we cant know.   What can we compare them with?

Two pointed breeds are known for being  black and white, or bicolor as they say mostly often.  Or mitted as they say when its points.

Its the snowshoe, who are shorthaired and bi-colored, the breed an offspring from old type siamese.

And its the ragdoll, where a branch are bi-colored.   Ragdolls are medium / longhaired.   So I think it is this label we shall put on them.  Altough to be honest, with the breed standards it would be a very pet quality...

So, she is a  mitted seal point, medium hair.  (or possibly long hair, Im not sure)[EDIT looking on her as adult, I think its long hair, really].     Or  point, black and white bicolor.

She is verry seal, btw, being alredy dark colored on her body.  They DO get darker with time, especielly the seal (=black), but usually they get this dark firstly when 5-6 years...

Both you and she are lucky, whom got each other!   :)

@StefanZ I know! the woman I got her from was confused too, because she thought they were maybe purebreed-somethings by the looks of them.  She apparently found them all huddled together in the middle of nowhere and thought it was obvious they'd been abandoned.  Fortunately they were about 2 months old, weaned, and litterbox trained.  They also seemed very healthy, like they hadn't been on their own very long, but did have fleas and roundworms.  The whole incident was very strange.

Thank you for your insight.  I am thinking she is more likely a ragdoll mix.  I guess there's no way to really tell without DNA testing.

We are really lucky to have found each other! The first time I saw that sweet face I knew she was mine :)
