Our newly adopted cat is almost 2.5 years old. We've had her about five months now. She was in pretty rough shape when we got her and her coat is finally starting to get healthy again. Much silkier than when we first brought her home. She's obviously part Maine Coon. In the past month she's started growing silvery/gray tufts of hair behind her ears.  For those who know something about Maine Coons, I'm curious if this is a trait of Maine Coons and if I can expect other cool, surprising coat changes from my beautiful, sweet girl in the coming months/years.

Just for reference, the pic at the top was taken this month, whereas here is how she looked in February (a month after we got her) with her winter coat. She almost looks like a different cat.

Oh, she is gorgeous!! I don't know about the white tufts, but I couldn't pass on giving your pretty girl a compliment. [emoji]9786[/emoji]️

She is so beautiful! I have two Maine Coons and they both have the tufty tips of their ears. They are only a year old so maybe they don't look completely like adults yet. I read an article that Maine Coons can be 3 or 4 years old before being fully grown. What's your gorgeous girl's name?
