About 2 weeks ago took in three very sweet cats from an elderly woman that was going into a care home and quickly fell in love with them
There's Tina the older girl
Lilly a young girl that's about a year and a half old and a boy about the same age
But yesterday Lilly gave birth to three kittens that seemed to be doing well until early this morning when she kept sitting on one specific kitten and she has been doing this all day
I don't know what to do, can anyone help?

Move her off the kitten and put the kitten to a nipple and hopefully it will latch and suckle. If it is lethargic, try smearing some honey on its mouth. Are the other 2 nursing okay?

Is their nesting box big enough for mama to stretch out for nursing without sitting or lying on the kittens?

Be sure to offer mama plenty of kitten chow, wet food and water now. See that she is in a private place with her kittens as well. Cats like to be away from traffic inside the home and noise when they have kittens. A dark but warm closet, with door cracked for mama to come out, is ideal. And put her litter box nearby as well.

Sweet of you to take this elderly woman's cats. Maybe you can share pictures with her.

Let us know how it goes with the kittens. :)

Thanks for the advice, with a little motivation she latched on
The others are suckling well and I moved the her nest into a cupboard and she seems to be alot happier now
Once again thanks so much, I was really starting to panic

Glad to hear mama is happier and the little one latched on! Just keep an eye on that one to make sure it stays that way. Feel free to ask any questions you may have as they crop up. :)
