In addition to finding the evidence, I actually saw one of my brother's cats urinatimg on clothes in the laundry room. However, I don't know if he is the only one. He does also use the litterbox.
I posted before, that we have to alternate having them and my female cat out, with access to the entire house, because she won't accept them. Although I try, as much as possible to interact with them, my brother is rarely home, and when he is, he's too tired to pay attention to them.
So, there are reasons for them to act out but is urinating outside the litterbox a symptom of lack of attention or stimulation? It was my understanding that cats only go ouutside the box, if there is a physical or serious psychological issue. I'm wondering if some type of anti anxiery herb or medication might help.

Try getting a Feliway diffuser for the room where the laundry is kept. As far as the cats not getting enough attention....well it Sounds like you already know that it's bad. They would probably stop or at least lessen the urination on your things if they felt more at ease

Have you ruled out a UTI? They often go one 'soft' clothes when they're ill.

We have an ultimate guide to all things litterbox here.. Have a look and see if anything helps.
