Goodbye baby Cheez-it

She was only 4 weeks old. I had been struggling to get her diarrhea under control and to get some weight on her.  My heart aches for the future she will never get. I know she wasn't mine, but it hurts just the same.


I'm sorry that I could not find the thing that would fix you and help you to stay in this world. I hope that you will forgive me and know that I tried very hard. The short time that we knew each other was enough for me to know how special you are.

Until we meet again at the rainbow's end, I love you.

So sorry for your loss! What a cute little kitten. It's so hard to lose them at such a young age. I'm sure you did all that you could. I hope you can take some comfort in the memories you have of her.

I'm sorry to hear about little Cheez-it's passing. Poor baby had such a short life. At least she knew love during it.

The world is a little less to not have that precious baby in it, the heavens gained a beautiful angel. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, it is not enough. You did what you could, and that sweet baby was so fortunate to have someone like you to love and care for her, she knew she was wanted and loved, that means everything to a baby like her. Know she did not want to cause you heartache, and would expect you to remember her short life with smiles, not dwell on her leaving. Bless you for trying so hard, and for hurting so bad because you loved so much. Take care and thank you for sharing her story....... What an adorable baby!  I am so sorry for your loss.  I had a little foster girl last year.  We didn't seem to know it but she was brain damaged.  Could not smell or see.  As she was a little fighter I fought with her but after a very hard 7 months she was put to sleep.  Even though you only had your baby a short time, she knew that she was loved & you were doing everything you could to help her. Sometimes the little ones don't make it.  She is on the other side now, having fun & playing with new & old friends.  Who knows; maybe she will come back to you for her next life.  Take care!  You are saving the lives of many little ones who would not have a chance if you were not there.

my little one eddie passed yesterday also at 4 weeks, he was the runt 1/2 the size of his brothers and more sickly, it is hard to lose them so young.

I am so sorry for your loss of your sweet girl, baby Cheez-it.   She had you to love her and do everything you possibly could for her in her need.  Bless you for comforting her, she knows you loved her.
