So I was here awhile back for my cat who had kittens. Well apparently my petco certified fixed male cat go her pregnant because I have a bunch of wee tuxedo kittens. They are much bigger than the last, and their chances of survival seem much better, my issue is right now, how to I give away kittens?? I don't exactly know the process. All my kittens died on me last time due to medical issues so I have one that I force fed and he lives. But I wanted to know how to give the kittens and momma stray away. I rescued her, but no one seems to want her): or the wee tuxedos

The kittens must first be weaned, which is usually around 8 weeks, before being separated from mom.

Are you trying to find someone to take mom and kittens now, or when the kittens are older? How old are the kittens now and how many are there?

When they are older. Because I'm keeping one due to the resemblance to a kitty who died on me. There is 3 tuxedos and one black tabby which is the one I'm keeping. They are only a few days old as of right now born may 20. So I need to find homes for three and a momma. I don't mind getting them fixed if it helps get them homes

Its a good idea. So you can ask for the refunding of money for the fixing, and thus - the need of asking of a fee will be lesser -as this may be touchy.

I mean, you SHALL ask for a fee or a donation, because, many thinks, what is for free is practically worthless.  Also, this is the easiest way to get loss from the weirdo, as snake food or sparring parnters for their fighting dogs.

But yet, as long as its fully possible to get a kitten for free or  "one dollar a paw, and two for the tail", it may be difficult to ask for fee or donation.

But aksing for refounding of spaying / neutering costs (you can round up upwards, for gasoline, your time...), its easy to understand.  And also, something they themselves are supposed to do.

Is the mom friendly, etc?

With kittens it shouldnt be problems, there is a demand for home raised, well socialized kittens.

But with mom - its more difficult... Please describe her as well you can, and we can perhaps come with advices and trainign tips...

Yes, getting them fixed will go along ways to being certain they will not have kittens of their own. Also I agree with StefanZ.  I am wondering though about the supposedly fixed male, with males, its highly noticable if he has been neutered or not. Are you sure he is  not neutered? Did you check around back side of the cat and notice if, well, his testicles were still there? Also did the mom cat ever get outside? Even once?

Will you also spay the mama cat, because it will be easier to find a home for her if she is fixed as well. Why do you not wish to keep her? Sounds like you've had her awhile. Is she friendly and loving?

Will the Petco help with the adoption process?  I know they have rescue kittens in their stores near us.

Momma cat is friendly, not needy friendly though. She will let you pet her but won't force it. She meows for food and water standing at the bowls I set aside for her, she's very calm and relaxed. Only time I've ever seen her play is with catnip or her first litter of kittens. In fact she's the only cat that's not destructive in my house....go figure the stray to be the good one lol

So it should be entirely possible to find a new owner for her.  Perhaps an elder person whom will be happy to get a companion,  AND do a good deed at the same time?  Memento mori, and all that?

Ask a no-kill shelter if they will put them up for adoption. Ask if you can advertise at your vet's office. Ask a pet store as someone suggested already. Ask your friends to ask their friends.

I do not like ads because they can attract the wrong sort of people sometimes who are not always kind to cats.

Your best bet might be to google area shelters and find one that is no-kill and has good adoption policies.

A few phone calls followed up by a personal visit should help.

Mama cat sounds incredibly sweet! :)
