Hello Everyone!

I want to thank everyone for your well wishes and good vibes. Board magic rocks!! The surgery went well... Doc says I am going to live, LOL! I am very sore, but nothing earth shattering.

I must say, it was a VERY long day though. I was scheduled to go in at 11:00 this morning… they were running behind so ended up going in around 2:00 p.m.

GEEZE! For me, it was like torture waiting for this surgery especially after not eating or drinking for 14+ hours. Every time I asked the receptionist how long she thought I would be before I went in, she just said, "soon." I told her that If they keep me waiting much longer, I may not need ANY anesthesia because I'll probably pass out in the waiting room instead
Oh well.....

I woke up in recovery around 5:00 p.m. and made it back home around 7:30 p.m. When I came home, I called a couple of friends to let them know that everything went well. After taking my pain medication, I started to get very tired… (Didn't I Hissy, LOL?) Then, about a half hour later, I had a burst of energy that hasn't gone away yet.

It's about 2:00 a.m. and I can't believe that I am so WIDE awake. Is that weird or what? I am taking Percocet... Has anyone ever heard of having the opposite reaction with this medication before? Hey Shell you might know the answer this one...

Anyway, I really wanted to say thank you to everyone before I attempt to go to bed (yeah right, bed!) Honestly, I feel like I could go do the dishes or laundry or something, LOL!!

LOL Kim, when you have the opposite reaction to a medicine, it's called an "idiopathic" reaction.

Glad to hear all went well!

ROTFL!! Thanks Sue... I just looked that up and a idiopathic reaction seems to be caused by stress... I guess my waiting room experience took quite the toll on me, LOL!

ROTFLMAO - I have to admit, Sue, when I first read that I thought you said "Idiotpathic reaction".... Hey! Maybe this means I need to go to sleep! ~grin~

Thanks Sicy... would you believe that I have only had 3 hours sleep and I am still WIDE awake? Maybe I slept so good under anesthesia, that I didn't require additional sleep last night... Hmmm, there's a theory.

With any luck, maybe I'll sleep like a baby tonight, LOL!

Kim! I'm so glad the surgery went well.
I didn't expect you back on the board so soon, but I'm happy you are.

And if you're still not sleepy, I have a bunch of laundry and cleaning that needs to be done here....
