Does anyone know what these bumps and marks are? They are only on his nose area. They are lumpy. And dont really seem to be open sores. Could they be pimples? There are a couple that look like scratches. We have given him a few doses of amoxicillon and it went down, but then seemed to want to spread while healing at the same time, so there were a couple more bumps, but they werent as big. It started probably 4 or 5 days ago.

Did you take him to the Vet in order to get that amoxicillon, or did you already have that on hand?

Does your cat go outside?  How old is he?  Reason I ask is that cats CAN and DO get cancer on their noses and ears (especially if their fur is white there), so thus the outdoors question.   Most likely it is nothing to worry about, but you need to be aware.

Maybe this thread will help:  http://www.thecatsite.com/t/295005/cat-has-three-spots-on-his-nose-details-and-pics-inside

We already had the amoxicillan on hand. It was prescribed by a vet for another cat that had bite wounds. We had taken this one and one more to get nuetered about 2 weeks ago, and the other cat had to be looked at because of a sore on its back, so he prescribed the amoxicillan. But this is the third time these cats have been prescribed amoxicillan since we have had them. He is about 8 months old now. And does go outside. The bumps have subsided since i first posted, but they are still there, you can still see the marks from them.

I ended up taking him to the vet. I read the thread you posted and thought I would keep an eye out for any bleeding. Well, sure enough, the next time I went and looked, there was blood. Called the vet and made an appointment within the hour. The vet said mosquitos could be the problem and suggested Frontline spray. (We had been using an all natural flea and tick spray called Wondercide). He also added we could spray some neosporin spray on our finger and rub on his nose. I had a triple antibiotic ointment and used it, because I think it is very similar to neosporin. That seemed to help a little. I ordered the Frontline spray off of amazon for about $14 less than if i had got it at the vet.
