hi, roughly 2 weeks ago, i have rescued a kitten. her siblings are all bigger than her and healthier judging frm the few looks i have at them. when i first have her, she had an eye infection so i brought it to the vet. the vet commented that she is roughly a month old but small for her size. the vet said she had stunted growth but with proper food, she should outgrow it.but she just wont eat!!!i tried force feeding using a syringe at the side of the mouth but it kept clawing and pushing it away with her small paws.same with using a milk bottle. i have no choice but to wrap her up like a sushi roll to restrict her paws and force bottle feed her milk. i have previously took care of a newborn orphan kitten too but that kitten is easy to deal with compared to the current kitten. my previous kitten(now a healthy grown pampered arrogant male cat) suckled at the milk like there the end of the earth is near! this kitten avoided all attempts and methods to feed her anything and it can be frustrating as i am having my exam in a few days!

it started to eat a little wet food(whiskas junior tuna) by itself(no force) a week back but gt sick 3 days ago and stop eating completely. i was quite convinced that it would have died if i have not continue force feeding her milk.it is slightly better now and can even walk unsteadily after a trip to the vet but it STILL wont eat voluntarily! it wont even try eating the wet food anymore.so im back to square 1 wrapping it up like a sushi roll in a towel and force feeding it.even like this, it is very time consuming and it still spit out most of the milk.i tried feeding it milk(powder bought frm pet shop),smashed wet food mixed in warm water and also tuna mixed with milk all through the milk bottle.i thought mayb it will eat dry kitten food made soggy too so i tried it today but nope.still not eating eventhough its hungry.what can i do??continue force feeding w bottle? i need her to learn to eat by herself soon too because i have to leave her with a busy friend for 1 week in june to travel.

p.s : my cat are living with my family in other state and have never laid eyes on this kitten so i can be sure the kitten is not intimidated by any cat too.

Peculiar.  Its no holy eremite, nor a political prisoner,  so no point nor glory by refusing to eat.   Refusing to eat usually leads to death, soon enough. So its no good survival of the fittest         strategy...

Can it be it protests especielly against this especial brand of kmr?   Exactly what brand is it?  Is made by by Hartz or by PetAg?

Whatever it is, it may help to switch.   Can you get raw goat milk?    If so, try with this, cant hurt, may help.  Good healthy nourishment by itself.

Perhaps she doesnt have strong will to live?   What to do to give her more will to live?

A fleece bedding, feels like fur.    Does she plays with her siblings?   If not, a stuffed animal as companion, like you would make for a newborn orphan?

Make perhaps one by yourself,  from fleece, and inside some sort of warming source, perhaps a rice filled sock, warmed up in microwave....

Carry at your chest?  Talking sweetly and making friendly noises??

You didnt mentioned minced meat - this is often used as first food for small kittens.  Preferably cow meat, definitely not pig meat.

Some ideas...

Try Gerber turkey from the jar. Also, try a different brand of formula like Stefan suggested. All you can do is try. I hope your kitten begins to eat soon!
