We had a terrible windstorm last week. So much so that our area qualified for FEMA funds, so we can have monetary assistance to help us all clean up. Winds in our foothills were over 80 mph. We have 6 firs down, and a 3 ft and 1 ft hole in our roof. People lost cars, homes, but not one life. You simply cannot see the grass, there is debris everywhere.....except on Freddie's grave. His spot was completely untouched! 70-80 mph winds and not one flower moved, not one branch fell on him, not one thing was out of place!! It was the only spot in the grass untouched by the storm. The only spot that had no debris. It was an amazing event and we felt him all around us. By the 4th day of no power, water, or heat, I walked out back and talked to his stone w/the kitty engraved on it, and told him we were cold and needed heat. I told him we missed him but were so happy his place in the yard had been protected and undisturbed. After we went inside, within 20 minutes, an energy truck comes driving up our street to repair the downed lines which turned the power back on. We know he's very much here with us now! Oh Freddie!
