Hello Eveyone!

Hi,

I'm officially new to the site but have been visiting for some time.  I have had a wide variety of pets throughout my life, but strangely I have not had a cat since about the age of 11...which was over twenty years ago.

I am two weeks away from getting a beautiful silver male Siberian kitten, so I will be hanging around a lot more in the coming weeks and months.  He will be my first purebred cat and I am very excited!

Looking forward to getting to know so many wonderful cat lovers and hoping to learn lots!

So, I finally have my precious Boris Yeltsin!  He arrived last Saturday night.  He is absolutely gorgeous and snugly and confident!  I couldn't be happier with him!  He has settled in wonderfully already.

I thought I should update with a few pictures of my new beautiful boy.

I am completely in love!!!!!!  So much white in his silver!  I just love his coloring!  So fluffy!  Hope to see more pics as he grows!  Yea that he's doing so well and is already everything you hoped for!

Beautiful cat!  I love Siberians and I have one, too.  And, great minds think alike, I named mine "Boris," also!  Here is his picture.  He is a little over three years old.

Ha ha, yes!  Boris just seems like such a perfect name for a Siberian!

What an absolutely gorgeous boy your Boris is!  He looks like royalty perched up there!

Just curious, how much does your Boris weigh now at three years old?

@Brunette   Thank-you for your kind words about my Boris!      He has lots of personality and keeps me chuckling at his antics.  He has big catcher's mitts for paws and if you throw him a treat, he will catch it in his paws before eating it!  And he's good at it!  

When I got Boris, the breeder said he might reach 16 lbs.  Boris has been at 12 lbs. for a year and a half, so that might be it for him, though they say that a Siberian is not fully grown until his is five.

Congratulations for being named picture of the week.  Your Boris is a serious cutie with bodacious "fluffiness factor!"  Please keep us updated with pictures as he grows!

I brought my boy in yesterday for his second round of vaccinations and he weighed 2.65 lbs at 11 weeks and 3 days, which strikes me as a bit small for a male Siberian.  However, I think that the size varies a lot in the breed.  I'm sure your beautiful Boris still looks like a substantial boy at 12 lbs with his body type, big paws, and wonderful fur.

I suppose it is a guessing game regarding weight until they reach maturity.
