I woke at 5:30 this morning and went to check on Sadie.  She was trying to get herself up.  This was a good sign.  She was very stiff from sleeping on her left side all night.  I got up her and she had too much trouble trying to move.  I bolstered her so she was laying in a neutral position.  I did try to feed her, but she wasn't interested.  Later in the morning I gave her a tiny bit of appetite stimulant.  Then 30 minutes later she ate about 1/3 can of food.  I had syringe feed her, but that's ok.

Around 11, I went to check on her again.  She wanted up. She moved all over the room for over an hour.  She played with her toys, made cooing sounds and purred and purred.  She is not standing completely straight and still wobbles to the side, but she able to get herself up 75% of the time.

So a bit of progress this morning!!

That's great news!! Go Sadie!!! You can do it!

it sounds like she's got plenty of fight in her and a strong will to live. That's amazing!! I'm sure that most of it is due to the wonderful, loving care that she's getting from you. You're definitely this little girl's hero.

Keep up the fight, Sadie!! you can make it!! You can get better!!

More vibes as usual going out in hopes that she continues to improve.

I am doing whatever I can for her.  She truly has the will to live.

She goes back to the vet for another laser treatment tomorrow.

Also the other vet I saw is going to send some videos I have taken of Sadie to an Internal Medicine Vet Specialist friend she has.  He was more experience with toxo and this particular antibiotic.  The vet believes the antibiotic is causing most of her issues.  We will see what happens.

This has to be one of the hardest things I have done.  She has been with me for 5 weeks today.  Not one day has been easy.  Yet I feel she is worth fighting for and deserves a chance.

All of the good thoughts are certainly working.  I was just up to check on her and she is wanting to get up and play again.  I bolstered her as she needs to rest right now.

I've been following the roller coaster story of little Sadie from the beginning.   I can't imagine there's too many other people who would give so much time and love (and money) to a stray cat.   I'm sure you feel like you're on a roller coaster as well.   I really, really pray Sadie's story has a happy ending.

Next time she is "feeling good",  would you be able to take a picture of her, so we can all put a furry face to sweet Sadie's name.

She's got so much fight in her. It's really encouraging to hear that she plays and purrs and tries to keep standing up, no matter how rough she is feeling. Good girl Sadie.

My Sadie sends love and vibes your way.

you are an angel..

torties rock

I am not a vet but symptoms sound like MS in humans, come and go.

But if its the toxo hopefully enough antibiotics will reverse the neuro symptoms.

Maybe her spine issues are just complicating her recovery.

Ive had two torties, one was feral rescued -my first. She only made it

14 months after I just thought,well

maybe she spent the last part of her life a bit easier.

My current tort-cookie is so sweet and she talks alot, also she adores kids.

I am blessed,God started me on torties I might not have hung in there, but they are so sweet.

She is quite a beauty. She has eyes like my Sophie (aka Saurus). I call them owl eyes. big, round and full of wisdom.

That's awesome that she was able to have a good meal. Good girl Sadie!!
Keep it up!! You can do this!!

That's a good description, Kat0121.  I thought "old soul" when I saw Sadie's picture.

Thanks for posting the picture, ShadowsRescue.   Sadie is a very pretty girl.  Here's hoping for a good Thursday.

What a beautiful little princess. Is it possible to fall in love with a kitty online, because I have

She has such a strong will to live, despite her pain and past trauma. What an inspiration for us humans.

I think we all have. She's such a special little girl.

She really does. I think she knows she has a fan club!! She's been so brave. We're all so proud of her. She's also very fortunate to have a wonderful caregiver like @ShadowsRescue  who deserves tons of credit for Sadie's progress.

More hugs and good vibes out to that little angel!!

Sadie had a very slow start to the day.  She was nauseous this morning and didn't want to eat.  I have learned that even though she's nauseous she has to eat something.  We did a combo of bone broth and wet food a few times.  After eating she perked up!  She also peed twice today and that is a first.

She went to the vet for a laser and did well.  Once home she ate just a bit on her own and then I syringe fed just over an ounce.  She ate an ounce earlier today.  She was wanting to get up a bit after eating.  I found a toy that my other cats all hate.  She went crazy for it.  She was attacking it and putting it in her mouth.  Actually holding it in her mouth.  This too is a first.  I nicknamed her "Killer".  She was fierce.

It's so hard to get her to rest and not completely blow her wad.  She was so over tired last night.

Having her active and awake is hard work.  She cannot get herself up if she fall so her left side.  I stay with her for about 20-30 minutes and then bolster her.  Half the time she is rolling over the bolster to get a toy.  I am up and down the stairs all the time.

All of your support and concern is overwhelming to me.  I am exhausted beyond exhausted.  It's like having a baby all over again.  I just keep plugging along and doing the best I can for her.  I am happy for the small progresses this week.

I think we all admire so much what you are doing and are just plugging as hard as we can for Sadie.
   And small progresses are good.
