Cat ate her babies!?

Can anyone help me Please. My cat had 3 Babies, 1 died Last night. And than she ate all of them. 1 Was already Dead, so she ate that one. And than she ate the other 2 That were still alive. That was her first ever Kittens, so she was new to it. Is that normal for the Mom that gave birth to her kittens. And than eat them? Or is it Normal for the Momma Cat, to eat her kittens alive.

Is there any chance she carried the two still alive away, and did hide them?  THAT is quite common.  A standard protection against predators and other dangers.

So, if she isnt locked up into a bare room with just bare walls, do search thoroughly.  They can be hidden in surprising small places, for example under a sofa under the lining of the cushions.  Completely inivisible with a quick look see.  Even with a good look may be difficult to discover.

That is not common they do eat still alive kittens, but if in extreme stress situation - it may happen.  By the stress in extremis can everyting happen.
