Jack is 6 ye old ragdoll. He had 3 days laid around some. After 3 days he started eating really good again. But sakes his head off and on. Since he is so long haired i trimmed his long ear hairs some and cleaned the waxy stuff. He is on rwvelution vet said few weeks ago no mites. I started him on claitin 1/4 mg yesterday. Acts more alert. Why is he shaking his head. Its not constant but noticed it serveral times last few days.

If the vet said no ear mites then that takes away the most obvious cause.  Are you applying anything inside his ears?

No. I am not putting anything in his ears. Last nite to rule out things i trimmed some of the longest hairs that might be tickling him when the vent blows and he does get mild dark wax i cleaned off last night. Going to watch him today to see if better. He did not sneeze any 2 days in row but had some small d sneezes last nite and this morning. I gave him clairitin now 3 days in row. 1/4 pill. I read allergies can cause head shaking. He does not turn head sideways so i know his balance is ok. Other than slight sneezing and picky eating. I may up him 1/2 clairitin or try chloratrymeton

I would highly recommend that you not medicate him with any OTC medications without consulting a vet.  If this doesn't get better very soon then another vet visit is in order.

My cat used to get some kind of fungus in his ears and it was very irritating. I think the vet had to clean it out and prescribe some drops. Might want to have vet do a re-check of ears.
