Are there other cats interested in TV, movies, or music?

We had to make several visits to the vet this winter and early spring and searched for music to keep them calm on the ride. We found out that Oliver seems to like the Grateful Dead, Sam is into reggae, and Mouse likes show tunes.

Rocky also liked music but was terrified of anything with loud feedback, so no live Santana or Jimi Hendrix for him.

Mouse will watch WWE and occasionally other sports, and she paws at the screen when we're watching something interesting on Netflix. She was really into Doctor Who for a while. (Like mothers, like daughter?)

My cat Jason loves when we play Debussy on surround sound. He comes running into the living room anytime he hears classical music but when we play Debussy he lays flat out on his side and makes biscuits.

I had a kitten who has long since crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  He loved music and would sit up like a groundhog when I had the under-the-counter radio on in the kitchen.

We have a police scanner on the nightstand by the bed.  DH and I don't really listen to it, but Speck loves it.  Sometimes when it's just me and Speck, I'll turn it on so he can here "the voices".  He is fascinated by it.

And - here's where I get a little crazy cat lady - occasionally I'll put Daisy on the phone with my mom.  My mom will call her name and Daisy just can't figure it out.

My cats Catness and Rose like My Cat From Hell. I don't know if it's the sound of cats freaking out that attracts them or what but by the time the show is over they are both in bed with me.

Oh that is too cute, nurseangel! I put the kids on the phone with my mom all the time, and my girlfriend will take the phone around the room when she's on FaceTime with her daughter and show her the cats.

Speedy does not pay attention to TV except if there should be the sound of a doorbell or a baby crying
, then  she will quickly pick her head up to attention.

I would love to see Daisy's reaction to hearing her name over the phone, that is so precious!

The Doorbell on T.V.   The cats suddenly rise into a sitting position, all ears on alert!

Sinbad loves the old black and white Superman starring George Reeves from the 1950s. He will literally come racing across the house at the speed of light when it comes on, and sit in front of the tv to avidly watch. He'll come grab some cuddles and scratches during the commercials, then once the show resumes he's right back on the ottoman, eyes glued to the tv.

It is the most adorable thing.

Yeah. It's especially funny because he hates Adam West. Batman comes on after Superman and Sinbad gets so disgusted. He makes this 'ugh what is this crap' kind of grimace expression and runs as far away from the tv as he can get in the house.
