Hi! Im new! Selkirk Rex cats?

Hi! I am not really sure if this is where I should ask but does any one know about Selkirk rex cats? I am interested in possibly getting one in the future! Also are there any Selkirk rex rescues? Thanks!

Thanks!!! I was just searching for different cat breeds and these guys looked sooo cute! I actually just got back from the shelter here and found the cutest Persian it was HUGE and so sweet she kept wanting to have her head scratched. She was in a cage with another white DSH who had 6 FEET! two extra feet on each of her front paws. It was the weirdest thing but she was also very sweet. I think they came in together because they were sleeping on top of each other. Annyway I really wish I could have adopted both of them but THEY ARE GOING HOME! So that is really good!

I am thinking of either getting a Persian or a selkrik rex.. I am looking for a lap cat who would like to be spoiled beyond belief haha. The cat will never be put down
I really want to attend a cat show and look at all the breeds, but I have never been to one before. Can you go and just wander around even if you aren't showing a cat?
Also do you know of any place where I can find out where all the cat shows are?

Hey petcrazy.

I breed persians, and they are the most sweetest cats ever, also you may or may not know but persians also come in a Shorthaired Variety called "Exotics", which have a lot less hair Hedi(who has the 2 selkirks) also has 3 persians and alot of other people have persians here.

Yeh sure you can just wonder in and take a look, it's probably different for cat shows where you live (which is??), but here in NZ the public are allowed in and cat watch the judging etc etc

If you want to find out if there is a catshow in your area you can pick up a CatFancy magazine and they have it listed in there . At least that how I know if there is a show in my area . Good luck making a decition . If you made a decition you can also find great cats and differend breeds on www.petsfinder.com in your area .
