I have a kitten she looked to be 3-4wks old and I had to feed her with a syringe and Cat Milk. Now she laps it up from a saucer. Shes about 6.5wks now and I've tried introducing her to soft food, she won't eat it and spits it out. I tried hard kitten food softened with her milk and she just drinks the milk and leaves the food. I'm wondering if it's too early or if I'm doing something wrong, she's drinking so much Cat Milk now that I'm running out in a days time and have to frequently make trips to the grocery store so I thought it seemed appropriate to introduce her to foods. I'm a little worried I may be doing something wrong..

Orphans are often a little slower, because they dont have a mom to take example from...

Minced meat is often used as the first kitten.  Cow meat, NOT from pigs.

Some children baby foods may work, esp if its clean meat, no funny additives.

Which country are you in?  Ie what children food brands are accessible?

I live in Canada.
Do you have Gerber baby food brand?  Our USA living forumites often mention it as a tip.   We dont have it in Sweden, so I dont have personal experience from this.

Im not even entirely clear if its the stage 1 or 2 they do mean - as both have been mentioned.

The plain turkey, or plain chicken sorts, are the usually mentioned.
