Hi!

So far I've been feeding my kittens any kitten food I can find at the time of my next purchase. They've not had any probems so far with any of the 3.

But I'm wondering... should I go the extra mile for any of the 3?

The first one is Minino's All Stages. I had found this chart somewhere to determine DMB (which I still don't understand what it is. The babies ate it along with mom's milk from time to time.

Can be purchased: Can only be found in Walmart. 45 mins away.

Presentation: Only found in 3 lb bags for $4 dlls

The 2nd one is Whiskas Kittens (Kibbles and Pouches).

For me it seemed not too moist, not too dry and, of course, they loved it! They also drank mom's milk.

Can be purchased: Can only be found in a grocery store inside a mall 20 mins from home. So if I'm not near my home when buying things, I'd have to take a detour to go get it.

Presentation: Only found in 3 lb bags for 9 dlls.

The 3rd one is Purina Kitten (Kibbles).

They eat it. But to me it smells so much like rice krispies and feels so airy and dry when I serve it almost like... well... popped rice. Least to say.... they at least eat it well.

Can be purchased: Only in a store inside a mall 30-35 mins from home and a return walk of 20 mins before arriving at the bus stop (plus the 15 mins to get home).

Presentation: Only found in 1 lb bags for $3 dlls each.

I went to many places and could not find that much variety. Many many stores did not only not have kitten foods, but they only carried one brand of Cat food.

Do you guys any suggestions as to which of these would be the better choice to feed the kittens?

Thank you

I think if you can find Fancy Feast Kitten in canned turkey and giblets that would be good as it contains real milk. Also I feed Friskies canned. I've been feeding canned as they seem to do much better on it. Dry is not so good for cat health and besides, it doesn't clean their teeth, much like eating chips or crackers doesn't clean our teeth.

Have you thought of buying online? It can work out cheaper and you will have access to a wider range of brands. With kitten food in particular, choice in store is limited (as you've already found), so online shopping really can be a great option. I buy the majority of my pet food online, and the choice is amazing :)

I've seen some Felix cans and Friskies cans. I also saw some Whiskas Junior Milk, would those be good?

I live in Mexico, so I don't think they'll ship here.

I'm beginning to thing Whiskas and Purina are not good for kittens.
