I just got this from the news...

Anyone has more info? As it is, it looks we'll be switching brands... again

A extract of the note:
Blue Buffalo admitted the truth in court yesterday: A “substantial” and “material” portion of Blue Buffalo pet food sold over the past several years contained poultry by-product meal, despite pervasive advertising claims to the contrary. The admission came almost one year to the day when Purina filed a lawsuit against Blue Buffalo for false advertising after testing revealed the presence of poultry by-product meal in some of Blue Buffalo’s top selling pet foods.

This is why I avoid Blue Buffalo and any company that heavily advertises because they want to us to think a certain thing about their food.  They shove their advertising down our throats, wanting to make us think their food is the best, and kick all other brands in the groin.  I don't feed dry but I already think their wet food is pretty sketchy.

You can easily find higher quality foods such as Nature's Variety, Wellness, Nutro, etc.  As well as Orijen for dry food.

I'm not surprised. I read the ingredients on the cans of wet food (I don't feed dry either) and wasn't impressed with it.

All the Wilderness recipes depend heavily on fillers by having them third or fourth on the ingredient list.  I'm not bothered by carrageenan and especially not guar gum since they're usually located near the bottom of the ingredient list.  But Blue Buffalo has them listed in the top ingredient list, like fifth or sixth.  I also don't like the look of their guaranteed analysis because it has 10% protein (min) and 9% fat (min).  That tells you the cuts of meat aren't good and/or they pack a lot of fat into their food.  It's even worse that those are the minimum numbers so there could be a lot more fat then protein.

The Wilderness Delights and Rocky Mountain recipes don't mirror the points I just said just but I'd still stay away from the whole company.
